David E. Bruce - Senior Pastor

"Pastor Dave" began his ministry at ECC on March 1, 2002.  David is a graduate of Northwest Christian College, B.A. in Pastoral Ministries, '76; Emmanuel School of Religion, MDiv-Honors, '83; DMin, '01.

David has been in ministry since 1971.  Youth Minister @ First Christian Church of Junction City, OR, 1972-1976; Youth Minister @ Hillsboro Christian Church in Hillsboro, OR, 1976-1979; Youth Minister @ First Christian Church of Greeneville, TN, 1979-1983; Minister @ First Christian Church of Dayton, WA, 1984-2002, Minister @ Enterprise Christian Church, Enterprise, OR, 2002 to now!

David is married to Melody (Herringshaw) Bruce - they were married August 21, 1976.  Melody ministers alongside of David in Children's Ministries and Music Ministries.  David & Melody have two daughters: Crystal is a 2nd grade teacher in Sugar City, Idaho and Heather works in the business world in Jacksonville, Florida.

David enjoys Wallowa County and has truly enjoyed having the Eagle Cap Wilderness 'so close.'  He has been to all the 'named lakes' in the Eagle Cap Wilderness - all 76!  He often sponsors a "Take a Hike with Dave" even for church folks to attend.  These are 'day hikes' that sometimes put in 15-16 miles on the trails.  He enjoys some fishing and hunting.  He enjoys some amateur photography.  He plays the viola (sometimes), guitar (strummer only), and is the director of our seasonal choir.  He has enjoyed the local theater and sympthony opportunities that are here in the Valley.

David has taken extra training in the area of "Grief Ministries" and offers 'Grief Support Groups' on an 'as needed' basis.  He is firmly entrenched as a minister in the "Restoration Movement Churches" and is happy being a part of the Enterprise Christian fellowship/family.
