We want you to enjoy worship and fellowship at Enterprise Christian Church!
When you visit us, you’ll be greeted at the door with a smile and a handshake.
We have a staffed nursery to take care of little ones. You can drop kids off and pick up a ‘vibrating pager’ in case nursery staff needs to call you during worship.
Our worship usually begins with music. We enjoy a ‘blended’ style of worship music, singing both contemporary songs and old hymns. Many from our congregation use their musical gifts to lead us in times of musical praise.
Children up through 5th grade are then dismissed to “God’s Country Kids” – a special time of lessons, crafts, and refreshments. Children are also welcomed to stay in the worship service with their parents.
We are a church that gathers around the Lord’s Table each Sunday. Following a meditation on the meaning of communion, trays of bread and juice will be passed. We believe that communion is for all who have committed their lives to Christ. The decision to partake is up to the individual. We than ask for individuals to meditate and pray silently until all have had a chance to partake.
We believe in prayer and observe the ‘Prayers of the Church’ during our worship. The congregation will be asked if there are any specific prayer requests – you can either write a request and give it to the Pastor before the service, or you can make it known when requests are called-for. We then join our hearts in prayer as a congregation – and are challenged to take our Prayer Lists home to keep the requests in prayer throughout the week.
After our time of prayer we will turn to the Bible for the message of the day. We are a congregation that believes that the Bible should be the foundation for our lives, so sermons are designed to be biblically-based with a practical application for today’s church. You can use the ‘sermon notes’ page in your bulletin to take notes.
At the end of the sermon we have a song of ‘invitation and dedication.’ If you want to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you may come forward and make your confession of faith at that time. A time for Christian baptism will then be scheduled. If you want to re-dedicate your life to Christ, you may come forward and make your decision known, and reaffirm your confession of faith.
Finally, note that there are welcome cards in the pews – please take the time to fill one out and place it in the slotted area located on the aisle end of each pew. You may use this card to make prayer requests, comments, etc. as well.
After first and second services, there is some time to greet and meet people over coffee and refreshments. A variety of Sunday School classes are held between the two morning services. See the home page for a complete listing of the service options, including the Sunday evening service, which differs slightly from the morning services described above.
