I grew up in Oregon on the west side of the state. My family moved to Wallowa County in 1987, and I attended Joseph High School. Our family was involved in farming and ranching.
Upon graduating high school, I left the area and went back to the west side where I attended Willamette University and graduated with a degree in Business. I also met and married the love of my life, my best friend, Cheri. Cheri and I lived and worked in the Willamette Valley for about 10 years and were blessed with the arrival of our son, Jordan. In 2001, we shifted gears and left the west side to return to Wallowa Valley to help with the family farm. A few years later we were blessed again with the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Grace.
I am thankful for the history I have had with ECC for the majority of my life. Although I was baptized in a different church, my wife and both of my kids have been baptized here. Our wedding was officiated by Dan Troutman, the pastor here in the 90’s. My dad was an elder here for a few decades and I have also had the honor and privilege to have been involved in the leadership team at ECC for many years.
As the most recent addition to the elder team, I am both humbled and excited. This is God’s church and we are the people of His pasture. Jesus, God’s one and only son, the Savior of the world has asked us to go and make disciples throughout the world. It is my hope that we prayerfully and carefully obey Him as we boldly step forward for Christ here at ECC and beyond.
