Hey there, I'm Shaun, the Youth Pastor at ECC. What’s my passion? Guiding the next generation into a life-saving relationship with Christ. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Youth Ministry from Boise Bible College back in 2012 and have been on this incredible ministry journey with my wife, Elisa, ever since.
After graduation, our ministry adventures took us to Roy, Utah, where I served as a youth pastor while Elisa volunteered with the youth group and led worship. From there, we joined the Christian Children's Ranch in Eagle, Idaho, until its closure in 2019.
Two Bible verses guide my life: Romans 8:1, which speaks of the freedom we find in Christ, and 1 John 2:6, emphasizing walking in His ways. These verses drive my mission to nurture the next generation in their faith journey. Oh, and in addition to hanging out with the youth group, you might catch me occasionally delivering a Sunday morning sermon while serving on the preaching team. I'm also active on the Cove Camp Board and direct multiple camps throughout the year.
Elisa, also a Boise Bible College graduate, wears many hats. She's a freelance graphic designer and a full-time mom to our three-year-old daughter, Seren. Elisa contributes her talents to ECC through the church seasonal choir and volunteers for missions like Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child and ECC's Sewing Servants.
Now, after calling Wallowa County home for a few years, our family finds joy in board games, puzzles, coffee visits, movie nights, and local adventures with our dog, Remus, especially trips to the lake when the weather's nice!
For more info about the ECC youth group, feel free to reach out to me through the church office, my cell, or email. Or hey, catch me at a school game—I'm always proud to cheer on my students!
