Since 2014, Tim has served as an elder with ECC, enriching the community with his knowledge and commitment to faith. However Tim journey began in Inglewood, CA, not far from the flight path of LAX. Raised in a Christian household, he was baptized at the age of 11 and immersed in Christian education through his formative years, attending Christian elementary schools until 6th grade.
His pursuit of knowledge led him to Pacific Christian College, where he obtained his BA in Ministry and later pursued an MA in Church History. Although his academic journey took him through various institutions, including Cal State Fullerton and Loyola Marymount University, Tim's passion for education remained steadfast. Despite starting a PhD program in Church History at UCLA, he chose a different path after three years.
Transitioning into the professional realm, Tim spent two years as a long-term substitute teacher in middle and elementary schools before venturing into entrepreneurship. In 1990, he founded his own Student Information computer business, catering primarily to school districts in California and Texas.
In 2003, Tim found the love of his life Crystal, and together, they welcomed their son Shepherd into the world in 2008. Relocating from the Los Angeles area to Washington state in 2006 and eventually settling in Enterprise, OR in 2012, Tim and his family found a church home at Enterprise Christian Church.
Tim's dedication to teaching spans across generations, as he has been actively involved in Sunday School instruction for most of his adult life, teaching various age groups. Currently, he imparts his wisdom to one of the adult classes at ECC.
